At last Dixie was in a major showroom in Las
Vegas, starring and producing his own show! Dixie was frozen in ice ( a
stunt planned for two years) : tied up with red tape on tax day, never did
a week go by that Dixie was not locked, chained, tied, or sealed, or
nailed, inside of something! The show truly lived up to it's name! It was
featured on "Door Knock Dinners" a show that featured Paula Dean
and Gordon Elliot on the Food Network The Travel
Channel, The History Channel, and many more! It was voted best new show in
Las Vegas by the Las Vegan Magazine. The Las Vegas Sun said
"Dixie's as clever as Houdini!" It had a great two year run and
then closed at the Plaza Due to politics in 2001.

Dixie was the entertainment director of the Magic Star Casino for
almost six years-since it's opening and he booked bands and entertainment
weekly and for special events. In the year 2000 he repeated his 24 hour
Magic Marathon with a group of magicians setting a new record of 25 hours
of continuous magic. Dixie was placed in "Hot Water" on tax day
at the Magic Star Casino and escaped from coffins and boxes, handcuffs and
ropes. He reprised his Harrah's street show each week on Friday and
Saturday nights with great close-up magic. He also performed on Wednesday
nights with comedy magic night.

Dixie then began work on a unique series of DVDs that showed some of his best escapes. His one of a kind escapology educational series was released early last year and continues to draw rave reviews and sales. The DVDs sparked an idea for a new show that Dixie soon gave life to at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. "Escape" was a show in a class all its own. It featured large scale escapes as well as a segment that allowed the audience themselves to become escape artists! The show generated a buzz around Vegas as one of the best shows on the strip. The show had a very successful run for close to a year and completed its contract with much accolades.
